June 7, 2026 · Apocalyptic Shadow’s new Starward Mode went live today: three fights against Flame Reaver, Ichor and Cocolia, demanding three full teams where the mode used to ask for two.

    With the new mode asking for three teams, the thread’s verdict is yes. Huohuo comfortably sustained OP's Acheron-Blade team, and several posters rate her over Bailu or Gallagher for that third healer.

  4. Did Apocalyptic Shadow actually get harder?

    Most read the difficulty spike as a deliberate counter-meta rotation rather than raw inflation, and the workarounds come fast: the OG Silver Wolf makes Cocolia trivial for physical characters, a breaker like DHPT melts Ichor, and the tougher fights mostly punish anyone who won’t rotate off their comfort teams.

    While Blade is a strong unit, his best performance is locked behind specific teammates like Acheron. He is often ineffective in teams that cannot reliably trigger his follow-up attacks or that struggle without a traditional sustain unit, making his viability niche compared to more universal support characters.

May 27, 2026 · Blade completely replaces E2 Silver Wolf, Jiaoqiu or Cipher for Acheron and together with Ashveil, creates the strongest wheelchair of HSR 4.x so far. Triple DPS with Feixiao, highly usable with DoT, good everywhere sustainless.
